Oak Tree GC hosts a variety of events.  We host corporate outings, charity fundraisers, the Richland County Men’s Championship, junior tournaments, high school tournaments, leagues, and a variety of clinics.  We would love to speak to you about hosting an event.  If you want more information please contact Bridgett at 419-747-4653.

419 Futures Academy

Who: Boys and Girls Ages 6 to 10. 

When: Friday’s 4:00 to 5:00. 

Details: Academy will include fundamental movements, fundamental golf skills, games, skills assessments, rules, etiquette, and on course practice. The academy will include 2 hours of simulator time per month.  Parents can join in the simulator for $20. At Oak Tree the students get a range pass that can be used for five large baskets of balls per month. 

Locations: The Academy will be at 419Golf October 1 to April 30. Then at Oak Tree May 1 to September 30.

Cost: $200 per month and limit 12 students.

Meet the Instructor:  Michael Kathrein is a PGA Associate with 28 years of coaching experience.  He is the Director of Golf for Mid-Ohio Golf Group, which includes Oak Tree, Shelby Crossing, Little Apple, and the Woods of Possum Run.  He is a high school teacher for 30 years, and published the book Game, Set, Life: A Conversation on Character, Grit, and the Power of Sports.

Lainey Kathrein is a PGA Associate with eight years of competitive golf experience.  After earning her BA in Journalism, Digital Media, Lainey has pursued her golf career at Westbrook Country Club before becoming the Head Golf Professional at Shelby Crossing.
